The Worshipful Company of Farmers is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing the farming industry and all those in it. Since its formation in 1946 it has grown in stature, helping to promote farming to the nation, develop professionalism within the industry and build a healthy portfolio of charitable activities. A vibrant community of Liverymen and Freemen supports the running of professional courses and promotes the industry through activities such as the Lord Mayor’s Show, Agricultural Lectures and the City Food Lectures.
Why they asked for support
The Worshipful Company of Farmers approached us because they were looking for a new CRM solution to manage a variety of key business processes. This included a range of membership management processes, including membership applications, registrations and renewals, and event management registration and RSVP process. The system also needed to seamlessly integrate with their website, providing access to the above processes through the Membership Portal; integration with a payment gateway was also crucial in order to support the payment processes related to membership and events.

What we did
Our first step to help WCF, was to identify the right solution. This involved an initial scoping workshop, a deeper-dive into business process requirements and a data audit. We identified Fonteva’s MemberNation solution as the most appropriate fit to WCF’s requirements. Fonteva MemberNation is a flexible and intuitive membership management solution that is built on the Salesforce.com platform.
We then began to implement the system through an agile approach of working with Graham to configure the system to meet the business process requirements, migrate the data, test, train and support. This included the development of the Membership Portal and integration into WCF’s website.

How the client benefited
WCF now have a CRM that supports the key business functions of membership and event management, all seamlessly integrated into WCF website. The members’ user experience of the website has been transformed, and processes in the back-office have been greatly improved and automated.
