Why we work with Salesforce
Salesforce is available out of the box as a standard product. In its raw form, it’s fairly impenetrable unless you’re a Salesforce Administrator – and ideally Developer – it comes just ‘as is’ and with no refinements to allow for things like fundraising processes. It’s a completely blank canvas. You can do anything you want!
Salesforce is an innovative CRM company – voted and ranked by Forbes as the # 1 company for several years and at the same time winner of numerous other awards. It is a multi – billion dollar company, supporting thousands of users all over the world, in all sectors and companies, whether large or small. A network (or ecosystem ) of developers allows the system to always growing and evolving and user able to get support at all levels.

Salesforce invests 1 % of the shares, 1 % of the time their employees and 1 % of the product from Salesforce.com into Salesorce.org who administer these gifts to charities and non-profits. Salesforce.org donates 10 free licenses to non-profits who want to use the Salesforce platform. These licenses, along with discounted costs for additional user licenses and services allow non-profit organisations from small to large to use the CRM platform to support all their business functions – from fundraising, administration, HR, finance, communications and so on.

Salesforce Registered Consulting Partners
Purple Vision is a Salesforce Registered Consulting Partner is also known as Salesforce System Integrator (SI) partner. This means we can undertake integrations and developments on the force.com platform, and advice our customers on the best approach to take with Salesforce.
Why do you need to work with a partner?
Salesforce is at its most basic a relational data table that needs to be adapted and developed for the average user to make sense of. But for a developer, this ‘raw’ version of the product provides infinite flexibility to create a bespoke solution for your organisation that meets your specific requirements. Typically we shy away from bespoke products as they become obsolete and require specialist skills (and even a particular individual’s knowledge). With Salesforce this is less of an issue as the code base underlying the platform is the same one that is used by thousands of developers around
Typically we might shy away from bespoke products as they become obsolete and require specialist skills (and even a particular individual’s knowledge). With Salesforce this is less of an issue as the code base underlying the platform is the same one that is used by thousands of developers around the world – so in theory, anyone can pick up your code and refine it.
Our specialist area of expertise is non-profits and fundraising. This is a business are that has its own unique foibles that a developer will need to know and be able to accommodate in planning your Salesforce system for you. We understand the uniqueness of non-profits – from planning rooming allocations for events through to making gift aid returns – and know how to translate and build them out into a ‘technical’ form. And critically, can translate this back to you as part of the training so you understand it too.
A key part of the process of systems integration – developing Salesforce to meet your specification – is time looking at your current and future business processes – how you work now, why you work like that and what needs to happen when. This business analysis is a blueprint for your process. But this process of systems integration is also about people as much as the process and the technology.
Working with your teams on this work gives us an idea of who you are as people as well as how you work and provides us valuable insight into how we’ll need to support you with end-user support and training. In fact, we believe that it’s all about people, process and technology in that order!
Being a registered consulting partner
Working with a Registered Consulting Partner gives you the peace of mind that your partner holds all the necessary training and hold the necessary accreditations to deliver high-quality consultancy and developments. Colleagues holding accreditations are required to keep these updated (as the Salesforce platform updates via 3 releases as year, so Administrators have to update their administration certifications 3 x per year too). Other cloud-based accreditations also require regular updates to keep on top of the frequent updates to the platform. We are also required to maintain a minimum customer satisfaction rating.
